Collaborating Organization: ÖGMBT
The ÖGMBT is a scientific non-profit association. We represent over 1.300 personal members and around 60 companies and institutions in the field of molecular life sciences and biotechnology in Austria. Our goal is to link the entire scientific spectrum, ranging from basic to applied science, academia and industry as well as government and media. An emphasis is set on the support of young scientists.

All but one of the FEMS journals are now fully open access (OA), with one journal, FEMS Microbiology Letters remaining a subscription journal with free-to-publish and OA options. Open access is key to supporting the FEMS mission of disseminating high quality research as widely as possible: when high quality, peer reviewed sound science is open access, anyone, anywhere in the world with an internet connection, can read it.
