The Hellenic Scientific Society Mikrobiokosmos, invites you all to join us in the 12th International Conference of Mikrobiokosmos, entitled “Decoding Mikrobiokosmos: Unlocking Microbial Intelligence.”

We are delighted to host this conference in the historic and beautiful city of Chania, Crete, and to bring together an outstanding international community of scientists, researchers, educators, students, and professionals who share a common passion for microbiology and its limitless possibilities.

The theme of this year’s conference reflects one of the most exciting frontiers of modern science. Microorganisms are no longer viewed as isolated entities but as highly sophisticated, interactive communities that communicate, adapt, cooperate, and evolve. By decoding their remarkable capabilities, we gain invaluable knowledge that can help address some of humanity’s greatest challenges; from safeguarding food systems and improving human, animal, and environmental health to promoting sustainable agriculture, combating antimicrobial resistance, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

The rapid advances in genomics, artificial intelligence, systems biology, bioinformatics, and microbial ecology are opening unprecedented opportunities to understand microbial life in ways that were unimaginable only a few years ago. This conference aims to bring together leading scientists, early-career researchers, industry representatives, and students from around the world to exchange ideas, present cutting-edge discoveries, and foster new collaborations.
