On behalf of the board of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) and the scientific organizing committee, we invite you to our 73rd annual meeting of the DGHM 2021.

Due to the current pandemic, we are switching to a digital format for the first time. This represents a positive temporary alternative that enables scientific exchange in these difficult times.

From September 12 to 14, 2021, you can look forward to a wide range of topics from the fields of microbiology, hygiene and infectious diseases, which will be presented in plenary sessions, workshops, seminars, industry symposia and poster sessions. Internationally renowned speakers and young scientists look forward to presenting and discussing both basic knowledge and application-related aspects of current research with you.

The scientific program focuses on Vaccination, Bacteria & Genotoxity, Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) / Pandemic Preparedness, InfectControl2020, Digitality and Science and Politics.

Im Namen des Vorstandes der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie (DGHM) und des wissenschaftlichen Organisationskomitees laden wir Sie herzlich zu unserer 73. Jahrestagung der DGHM 2021 ein.

Aufgrund der aktuellen Pandemie stellen wir erstmals auf ein digitales Format um. Das stellt eine positive temporäre Alternative dar, die den wissenschaftlichen Austausch in diesen schwierigen Zeiten ermöglicht.

Vom 12. bis 14. September 2021 erwartet Sie ein umfangreiches Spektrum an Themen aus den Bereichen Mikrobiologie sowie Hygiene und Infektionskrankheiten, die in Plenarsitzungen, Workshops, Seminaren, Industriesymposien und Postersessions präsentiert werden. International renommierte Referenten und Nachwuchswissenschaftler freuen sich darauf, sowohl Grundlagenwissen als auch anwendungsbezogene Aspekte der aktuellen Forschung zu präsentieren und mit Ihnen zu diskutieren.
