There is an open position for an assistant professor (tenure track) at Ghent University. The selected candidate will conduct research in the discipline of microbiology, more specifically concerning biofilm formation in the medical/pharmaceutical context and/or host-pathogen interactions.

This research will have to be related to and/or complementary with the research currently ongoing in the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Microbiology (for more information, see http://lpm.ugent.be). The successful applicant will have to be involved both in fundamental research and in research of a more translational nature (i.e. research generating an economic or societal impact).
