COVID-19 Update:

Dear fellow scientists,

as the coronavirus pandemic develops, the Government of Finland has instituted restrictions that include cancelling large gatherings and closing the borders. The University of Helsinki is thus cancelling conferences. Holding Europic on 1-4 June, 2020 is therefore not possible.

The cancellation of Europic 2020 is a force majeure that will incur costs for venue booking and project management which the organizers will cover using the conference budget (please see the cancellation policy at the end of the message). We will nevertheless strive to either refund part of the registration fees to the registered delegates or arrange vouchers for Europic 2022. The decision about the refunds will be made following the Europic cancellation policy after the organisers sort out the conference cancellation costs. We expect to make it by the 1st of April, 2020, after which we will inform the delegates about the refund process.

Europic 2020 cancellation is disappointing for all of us. We hope for the successful overcoming of coronavirus pandemic and and are looking forward to meeting at Europic 2022!
