Exploring the Bacterial Cell Surface: 23-24 June 2018, USA

The Gordon Research Seminar on Bacterial Cell Surfaces will be based on “Exploring the Bacterial Cell Surface: From Single Cell Structure and Function to Multicellular Interplay” and will be held on 23-24 June 2018 at Vermont, USA.

This meeting is run by junior investigators, for junior investigators. This seminar will bring together post-docs and graduate students in a stimulating yet relaxed environment, ideal for fostering future collaborations, networking with colleagues, and conceiving new research directions. Seminar attendees will be able to present their work to their peers in an intimate and unintimidating setting.

This meeting will cover expansive topics including:

  • plasma membrane processes
  • peptidoglycan synthesis
  • envelope maintenance
  • structure and function
  • protein transport and secretion mechanisms
  • macromolecular surface structures
  • environmental and multicellular interactions

This wide range of content will allow for networking between researchers from broadly related fields in the context of the bacterial cell envelope.
