ICBM-5 5th International Conference on Biogas Microbiology
Biogas microbiology involves microorganisms with diverse physiological traits, establishing interactions and networks in microbial communities. It is, therefore, a complex and broad topic.
Biogas generation occurs in both natural environments and engineered systems. Understanding the physiology and diversity of these microorganisms is pivotal for better controlling biogas generation, which impacts renewable energy production, resource recovery, and methane emissions in nature.
The 5th International Conference on Biogas Microbiology will bring together scientists from the fields of microbiology and engineering, linking life sciences and technology to shape the future of biogas and anaerobic digestion processes.
This conference is the fifth in a series of biogas microbiology conferences, following events in Leipzig, Germany (2011), Uppsala, Sweden (2014), Wageningen, the Netherlands (2017), and Braga, Portugal (2022). In 2025, it will be held in Galway, Ireland.
Welcome to Galway!
