The venue, Berlin Brandenburgische Akademie, will be in the very heart of Berlin close to the Gendarmenmarkt. Besides the traditional core themes of the International Symposium on Plasmid Biology (replication, maintenance and transfer) the focus of the 2026 meeting will be very much on the role of plasmids in disseminating antibiotic resistance genes and their contribution to the connectivity between Human, Animal and Environment.
