JAMS (Joint Academic Microbiology Seminars) is a group of microbiologists who meet monthly to discuss science in a fun and casual setting. JAMS has several nodes across Australia and internationally.

JAMS organizes a full-day symposium event annually, and this year will be our 11th symposium (JAMS11). JAMS11 will be a full day event with talks from fantastic microbiologists across New South Wales and an international keynote speaker, Alain Filloux. A student/ECR speaker session and poster session will also be included in the event, and we are very grateful to FEMS for giving the opportunity to award a FEMS journal prize to our best student/ECR speaker.
