Multiple Tenure Track Positions in Microbiome Sciences: USA

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University seeks applications to fill three full-time tenure-track positions with nine-month academic appointments with research (60%), teaching (30%) and service (10%) responsibilities beginning August 1, 2023. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Assistant Professor in one of four units, the Department of Ecology and Conservation Biology, the Department of Entomology, the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, or the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an area related to microbiome research, including but not limited to genetics, genomics, biology, ecology, entomology, microbiology, plant pathology, soil science, crop science, etc. Evidence of the potential for developing an outstanding research program and indications of strong mentorship and teaching skills are required. Applicants are also expected to have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the desire to collaborate with others in a collegial team environment.
