I am currently opening a fully funded PhD position to start my lab at the VIB-VUB Center for Structural Biology in Brussels (Belgium).

Duration: 4 years.

Starting date: January 2020 (flexible).

Together with a bioinformatician and 2 master students, we are filling the current gaps in the understanding of the virulence of a priority 1 bacterial pathogen called Acinetobacter baumannii (Biosafety level 2) using versatile cellular models (including amoebae) and high-throughput approaches. In parallel, we are identifying new molecules with antibiotics/antivirulence activities to fight multi-drugs resistant A. baumannii.
