Professorship of Medical Microbiology: Germany
The Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Germany, invites applications as soon as possible for a W3-Professorship of Medical Microbiology (Successor Prof. Dr. med. D. Schlüter) to occupy for life.
The chair is associated with the management of the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hospital Hygiene. The independent area for “Hospital Hygiene and Antibiotic Stewardship” is part of the institute. The candidate should be able to represent the subject in research, teaching and health care and be identified by outstanding clinical and scientific achievements. The scientific focus of the faculty (immunology including molecular medicine of inflammation, neuroscience) should be supplemented and further developed by an innovative clinically oriented research profile of the person to be appointed.
Prerequisites for admission are the habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements as well as the specialist recognition for microbiology, virology and infection epidemiology.
The professorship-related tasks of the management of the institute including the associated liquidation law are regulated by a chief physician contract. In the contract, the duties associated with the management of the institute, including the treatment of privately insured patients, are assigned to the duties of service. The previous liquidation law will be replaced by a performance-based remuneration. This can be waived if a professor has already been liquidated.
The Otto-von-Guericke University aims to increase the proportion of women at all stages of the academic career and therefore urges female scientists to apply.
Applications of severely handicapped people will be given preferential treatment if they are of the same suitability, aptitude and professional qualification.
To process your application in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation and the Federal Data Protection Act (new), your consent to the purpose-based storage of your personal data must be enclosed in writing. The consent can be revoked at any time.
Applications with the usual documents (curriculum vitae, scientific career, structured index of publications, list of lectures conducted so far, certified copies of the main certificates and certificates as well as selected reprints of original papers, compilation of the third-party funds raised) and the application form (http://www.med.uni-magdeburg.de/Berufungsverfahren.html) will be requested within six weeks after publication of this advertisement:
