The French Society of Microbiology (SFM) is a non-profit organization founded in 1937 in the pure pasteurian tradition.
Its mission is to promote all fields of microbiology : human and veterinary medical microbiology, basic and general microbiology, food, environment, biotechnology, virology, mycology and biosafety in all francophones countries. This is achieved by organizing or supporting conferences and congresses, by publishing journals and books.
