Israel Society for Microbiology (IL-ISM)

The Israel Society for Microbiology was established in 1967,  It is a non-profit organization registered  at the  Registrar of Associations. The Society has around 500 members. They are scientists and graduate students from a variety of educational institutions in Israel, food and medical microbiologists, clinical microbiologists from different health institutes, and active microbiologists from the industrial sectors.

The main purpose of the Israel Society for Microbiology is represent the community of microbiologists engaged in research in and teaching of the field of microbiology  at the national and international levels. The association strives to encourage and promote scientific progress, alongside awakening the public at large to the contribution and importance of the Microbiology to society and to the country.
