British Phycological Society (UK-BPS)
The Society was founded in 1952. Its aims, as listed in our Constitution, are
“…to advance education by the encouragement and pursuit of all aspects of the study of algae and to publish the results of this research in a journal, and also in other publications which shall from time to time appear desirable, provided that all publications of the Society shall be available to the general public.”
The Society is a Registered Charity in England and Wales and is run by a Council and governed by a Constitution. The Society generally holds its Annual meeting in the first week of January.
