7th International Metaproteomics Symposium
This four-day symposium brings together an international research community united by the use of multi- and meta-omics approaches, with a particular emphasis on metaproteomics.
The preliminary programme features six sessions. Four of these sessions will focus on metaproteomics applications in environmental microbiomes, microbiomes in health and disease, and microbiomes of human-made habitats. The fourth session will address the topic of ancient proteins. The remaining two sessions will highlight emerging methods, multi-omics integration and bioinformatics, focusing on recent developments and technological innovations that are relevant to the broader scientific community.
A dedicated session titled “Status of CAMPI Challenges and Future Directions” will explore upcoming priorities in the field, with a focus on community-driven initiatives. Central to this discussion is a multi-lab comparison of established metaproteomics workflows, aimed at fostering standardization and cross-laboratory collaboration. Complex methodological questions will be addressed by leveraging the collective expertise of the metaproteomics community.
