Post-Doctoral Contract - Adaptive experimental evolution to optimize the tolerance of Oenococcus oeni to the consequences of Climate Change

The candidate will be welcomed within the Food Fermentation Interaction and Microbiota Team (AFIM) of the UMR Food and Microbiological Processes (UMR PAM). The AFIM team, led by Professor Aurélie Rieu, is hosted at the Institute University of Vine and Wine (IUVV) on the campus of the University of Burgundy Europe (UBE) in Dijon. The research carried out by this team explore, at the molecular, cellular and physiological levels, the response to stress of microorganisms (yeasts and bacteria) in connection with their environment and their interactions. This scientific mission will be carried out in partnership with the UMR SayFood (AgroParisTech INRAE) and the FROMEX regional research attached to UMR PAM. Supervision will be provided by Cosette Grandvalet (UMR PAM) in collaboration with Florence Dubois-Brissonnet (UMR SayFood) and Noëmie Pascault (FROMEX).
Key skills:
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, as well as in transcriptome analysis and interpretation of metabolic fluxes. Recent PhD graduates are perfectly suited to this profile; some of the required skills can be acquired during the position.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in microbiology (CNU section 66, 65, 68)
- Co-author of at least two original articles including one article signed as first author
- Experience in general microbiology techniques, bacterial physiology and bacterial genomics
- Motivation, scientific curiosity, ability to work in a team
- Sense of initiative and autonomy
- Young doctors can perfectly meet this profile, some of the required skills can be acquired through course of the mission.
