International Open Access Week: Our Open Access Developments

22-10-2019

International Open Access Week is a global, community-driven week of action to open up access to research. The event is celebrated by individuals, institutions and organizations across the world, and its organization is led by a global advisory committee. The official hashtag of Open Access Week is #OAweek.

At FEMS, we are currently developing two new fully open access journals to add to our current portfolio. FEMS Microbes and microLife, will be our first fully Open Access titles and, as with all of our publications, will adopt the highest scientific and publishing standards.

With this and other initiatives, we will continue to serve the European and worldwide community of microbiologists by providing a range of publishing options, including Open Access options. We continue to reinvest our publishing income into science and the promotion of microbiology at all levels.

We hope you are as excited by this announcement as we are. More details will follow so keep an eye on our website for forthcoming announcements.
