The history of the Society dates back to 1966 when its principal team member and coordinating core – Department of Microbiology, Belarusian Academy of Sciences was founded. After disintegration of the USSR and declaration of sovereignty of Belarus Republic our Society was transformed and registered under its current designation by Belarus Ministry of Justice on July 21, 2005. In 2007 it successfully passed state re-registration procedure and was entered into Unified Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs.
