Professor Dieter Haas, former FEMS Microbiology Reviews  Editor-in-Chief,  passed away on Saturday 22nd April. He will be missed, not only for his work on Pseudomonas, but also for his memorable contribution to  Reviews in his years as Editor-in-Chief. He was also a past President and FEMS representative of the Swiss Society for Microbiology. His remarkable and charismatic personality will be keenly missed.
