The SIM National Congress is the Italian event dedicated to Microbiological Sciences, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and professionals working in the field of Medical, General, and Clinical Microbiology every year.

The 2026 edition will be a unique opportunity for scientific updates and multidisciplinary discussion on the most current topics in the field, involving nationally and internationally renowned experts. The conference will take place during World AMR Awareness Week and will provide an opportunity to convey important messages about the fight against antimicrobial resistance to various stakeholders and the general public.

The Congress also provides a strategic opportunity for the scientific community and industry to meet, fostering dialogue and the dissemination of technological innovation in microbiological diagnostics, new and existing therapies, and prevention.
