The National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC) are currently running their third national competition, ‘Biofilm Create!’ as part of their #BiofilmAware campaign which works to raise awareness of biofilm research, and the many societal and economic impacts of biofilms.

Amazon gift cards will be awarded to first (£500), second (£250) and third (£125) place in two categories; photography and art.

The ‘Biofilm Create!’ Photography and Art Competition is a great opportunity for budding artists and photographers to explore biofilms in their everyday environments and is also a chance for scientists to look at creative ways of showcasing their  research.

The submission deadline is 5pm UK time on Friday 20 October 2023.
