Biofilm Week takes place each year from 18-24 November and aims to promote the economic and physical impact that biofilms have on our world, as well as highlight research taking place to prevent, detect, manage and engineer biofilms.
The awareness week is run by the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC) as part of their #BiofilmAware campaign, which is all about helping people to understand what biofilms are and why biofilms are so important, whilst at the same time raising awareness of related research.
This is a great opportunity to showcase biofilm-related research or technologies, whether it be through written or video blogs, educational activities, microscopy images, or images from applications in use.
