Food Systems Microbiome Conference

We invite you the FEMS Sponsored Event – Food Systems Microbiome Conference which will take place on 14-17 May 2024 in Torino, Italy.

There is increasing interest in food system’s microbiomes. Microbiomes are highly important to achieve sustainable primary production, to increase food quality and safety, to maintain food production and ultimately, they are of key relevance for human and animal health. In this conference we will discuss the role of food system’s microbiomes for burning issues like the fertilizer crisis, animal welfare, antibiotic resistance, food quality, circularity and dietary transition. We will address latest findings, important aspects for new innovations and will also identify knowledge gaps to be further addressed.

The Food System Microbiomes 2024 International Conference is organized as part of the newly founded MicrobiomeSupport Association, a follow-up of the Coordination and Support Action MicrobiomeSupport. We aim to further increase the awareness of food system microbiomes across different stakeholder groups, and this scientific conference is one of the planned activities of the new association.

We use the income from our FEMS Journals to fund our FEMS Grants! FEMS Journals are proud to invest back into science through sponsoring this meeting.
