The Department of Biology of the Faculty of Sciences seeks to fill a position of a Full Professor of Limnic Microbiology. They seek applicants who are internationally recognized and address at the molecular level fundamental questions in the field of limnic microbiology. They are particularly interested in researchers who have made important conceptual advances across the fields of physiology, metabolism and microbial interactions.

• Successful candidates will expand the strengths of the Department of Biology via integration into the current cooperative research programs or the interdisciplinary Cluster of Excellence initiatives
• Candidates are expected to teach in the areas of microbiology and limnology at bachelor and master level.
