Lecturer A/B in Molecular and Cellular Sciences: UK

We have  invested in a new School of Veterinary Medicine and as part of its development, we are currently seeking applications from exceptional individuals with expertise in molecular and cellular sciences to deliver our ambitions to expand and develop the faculty’s research strategy. We have recently appointed several key individuals in the field of cardiovascular research (clinical and basic scientists) and it is envisaged that the successful candidate’s expertise ideally should fit with or compliment this are of research. The University of Surrey offers excellent facilities within which to advance your teaching and the opportunity to undertake pedagogical research with the department of higher education.

You will have a PhD in a related field and significant postdoctoral research experience. The post holder in expected to lead an independent research portfolio that is supported by external funding and evidenced by high quality publication, whilst contributing to the teaching of preclinical sciences ( e.g. genetics, physiology, molecular biology, cellular sciences etc) at postgraduate and undergraduate level. The post holder ideally will be involved in working together with other members of the Department of Preclinical Veterinary Sciences to drive the ‘One Health’ cardiovascular research strategy and have had prior research experience in this field
