The Medical Phycology e-Symposium is the first international scientific conference specifically dedicated to human and animal infections caused by pathogenic algae. The event aims to present the very latest information on these rare and peculiar pathogens and thereby promote a new realm of microbiology – medical phycology.

The major organizer of the Symposium is the Department od Medical Microbiology of the University of Warsaw, Poland.

The Symposium is partnered by the Intenrational Society for Human and Animal Mycology, the American Society for Microbiology, the „Microbiologia Aurea” Society, and the National Chamber of Laboratory Diagnosticians in Poland.

The event is held under the honorary patronage of His Magnificence, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Dr. Alojzy Z. Nowak.
In addition, the Symposium is under the patronage of the Polish Society of Microbiologists, the Polish Society of Phycology, and the Polish Society of Mycology.
