PhD in microbial ecology/metagenomics: Germany

The Leese lab and the Probst lab at University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany) are seeking a highly motivated PhD student within the extremely well funded Collaborative Research Center RESIST. The student will work on the effects of multiple stressors on microbial communities using metagenomics.

Your profile:

  • Completed university studies (Master of Science) in Water Science, Microbiology or equivalent of at least 8 semesters.
  • Experience with analytical methods and microbiological experiments.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Furthermore, we expect a high degree of self-initiative, inventiveness and creativity, as well as
    good interpersonal skills and flexibility.
