The Cluster of Excellence Balance of the Microverse invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher Position in biophysics of microbial aggregation in the context of the gut microbiome (m/f/d) commencing on or after 1st February 2023.

The postdoctoral researcher will join the recently established Theoretical Microbial Ecology group, led by Professor Rosalind Allen. The group combines microbiological and biophysical experiments with mathematical and computational modelling to investigate how microbes survive, grow and interact in complex and changing environments. Areas of particular interest include the physiology of antibiotic action, evolution of antibiotic resistance, biofilms and other types of microbial interaction in both clinical infections and environmental settings.
