Linköping University hereby advertises a position as Postdoc in Proteomics formally based at the Department of Clinical and Expermental Medicine

Duties
A Postdoc will essentially carry out research. The position may also involve teaching, but during no more than a fifth of work time.

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a relevant research in proteomics and mass spectrometry to work in nanoproteomics. The selected candidate will join at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Cell Biology, at Prof. Susana Cristobal´s research group.

The main goals for the research project are to decipher universal and specific rules that govern nanoparticles and biomolecules interactions; to scrutinize NP-complexes dynamics outside and inside a cell that are dependent on the chemistry and biochemistry of the microenvironments and to explore this knowledge for novel nanodrugs. Our team has been exploring this area for several years including the developing a method to evaluate the surface of nanomolecules adsorved to nanoparticles. We are integrated in the Eu cost action NANOCLINIC with European leaders of the field.

Qualifications
The position requires a doctorate or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. The doctorate shall have been obtained no longer than three years before the expiration date of the application.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in proteomics or a related area. Experience in handling mass spectrometry samples and competence in proteomic bioinformatics is a requirement. We will select a candidate with capability to work in collaboration other international teams and communication skills. The teamwork capabilities are relevant for the position and certain level of independence and maturity. Summarizing, the sketch of our “dream candidate” is a scientist with a Ph.D. completed within three years, eager to find new questions and with the courage to look for answers by working and discussing any scientific idea.
