Postdoc Molecular Microbiology: Austria

The Children’s Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) of the St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung Association is a renowned multidisciplinary research institution with tight links to the spin-off company LabDia Labordiagnostik GmbH and the St. Anna Children’s Hospital, a leading pediatric cancer center. The paramount aim of the CCRI is to improve treatment outcome of malignant diseases in children and adolescents by performing basic, translational and clinical research. Moreover, the development of novel diagnostic approaches and treatment concepts is a major focus of the CCRI and LabDia. Our comprehensive cancer center entertains close collaborations with many other research and clinical institutions worldwide.

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

You will be involved in recently initiated projects related to resistance mechanisms and differential downstream signalling in Ph-positive leukemias, and will be able to develop your own ideas, concepts and approaches within and around the main topic.

Required Qualifications

You should hold a PhD in molecular biology or related fields, and have great interest in cancer research. Several years of laboratory experience, and proficiency in cell culture and genome editing would be preferable.

Successful applicants will be offered a salary according to the Austrian Science Fund FWF and a contract for up to 3 years with a possibility of extension.
