Postdoc Position- whole genome sequence analysis: Switzerland

University of Zurich is looking to fill Postdoc position on a research objective: “Using whole genome sequence data to identify markers that can be used for improved MALDI-TOF MS identification and typing of foodborne pathogenic bacteria”.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for an applicant with in-depth experience in whole genome sequence analysis/ big data analysis and a PhD in bioinformatics, biostatistics, chemometrics, biology or equivalent. Ideally, applicants also have some experience in mathematical modeling, neural networks, or deep learning. Project management and advanced communication and writing skills in English are required.

We offer:
A 100% Postdoc position for a research project of the Institute for Food Safety at the University of Zurich. The position is funded by an Innosuisse grant for 2 years, with remuneration based on classification of positions in accordance with UZH guidelines (ca. CHF 80’000 net salary equaling €73’700).
