Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution, located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d’Hebron. VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific, educational, social and economic development within its area of competence around the world We are currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Group of Biomedical Research in Digestive Tract Tumors at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (http://bit.ly/vhirgrouplink), a large multidisciplinary institution, with more than 270 active research projects and over 800 publications in 2017 in all fields of biomedical research. We are located in Barcelona, a large Mediterranean city in northern Spain with many cultural and entertainment possibilities. The candidate will work on an established research line (http://bit.ly/1woSHyG) focusing on the role of the small GTPase RHOA in gastric cancer. The project will involve the use of a variety of cell/molecular biology techniques including in vitro systems, animal models and large tumor collections.

Education and qualifications:
Required:

• have a PhD degree in the field of biomedical research

Experience and knowledge:
Required:

• have significant experience in the field of cancer research
• have at least one original publication as a first author or co-author

Desired:

• experience working with animal models and postdoctoral experience in high profile international research organization, are desirable
