The Bio-process engineering group in The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) seeks a hard-working, creative Postdoctoral scientist for a new large European project. The applicant will apply real-time feedback control and optimization methods in fermentation of bacteria. The candidate will also be responsible for several doctoral students and will run our new high technology real-time feedback fermentation laboratory (including mass-spec, HPLC, multiplexer NUMERA system and flow cytometer).

Candidate profile

• The Candidate should hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Control Engineering or Biotechnology, with documented experience in fermentation of bacteria (Journal articles).
• Additionally, he/she should have good modeling and control skills and be proficient in Matlab and process and/or electronics feedback control systems.
• The position requires spoken and written fluency in the English language. It will be considered an advantage to also master spoken and written Norwegian.
