You are invited to attend the conference, Power of Viruses in Valamar Diamant Hotel, Poreč, Croatia on 16-18 May 2018.

This is the first Power of Viruses conference, which aims to stimulate further development of virology in Europe, especially in the south-eastern Europe, and to facilitate international networking of virologists from medical, plant, veterinary and other sub-fields.

This symposium is linked with the working group meetings of the COST Action FA1407, which deals with the deep investigation of virus-associated sequences. However, the participation in COST DIVAS is not required for the participation in the conference.

Poreč is on the Adriatic coast – with its rich history, scenic beauty and accessibility, it provides a perfect setting for scientific discussions and informal networking.

The scientific programme will be prepared by an international scientific committee of virologists from various fields.

Assistance for young researchers

• Wishing to attract as many young researchers as possible, the Organising Committee has provided lower registration fees for students and special accommodation rates for participants of the meeting.
• FEMS grants are available to help young researchers attend this meeting, and we are actively seeking more opportunities from other international organizations (ICGEB Grant).
