The Digital Transformation of the Research Laboratory

LabTwin would like to invite you to the event “The Digital Transformation of the Research Laboratory“ during the Berlin Science Week 2019.

Date: Wednesday, 6th of November, 2019

Time: 18:00-20:00

Location: Natural History Museum Berlin – Artefacts Lecture Hall

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Harnessing current digital trends and user-centered design to embrace today the laboratory of the future.

Join us for an evening discussing how novel technologies such as voice recognition and machine learning, in combination with user-centered design, could support the daily journey of researchers in life sciences.

In recent decades, laboratories have undergone a continuous change, moving from paper-based documentation systems to paperless platforms. Not just that, laboratories are also experiencing a steady evolution from electronic systems to data-driven, integrated technologies. Although laboratories are becoming smarter, users have been widely ignored when it comes to usability, needs, and constraints. There is a big misconception regarding automation and digitization being seen as threats instead of supportive tools for humans working in life sciences.

With an increasing number of integrative technologies available today, the key, in future, will lie in identifying those technologies that are best suited for specific laboratories and users. We will explore these topics in a panel discussion with leading biotech companies currently driving the laboratory of the future revolution.

PANELISTS

  • Magdalena Paluch – CEO of LabTwin GmbH
  • Sven Asche – Managing Business Analyst, Capgemini Business and Technology Solutions
  • Facundo Gomez Vera – COO of Leonyte Biosystems
  • Oded Kruchik – Laboratory Manager – CCO, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin

We kindly suggest all participants to register free of charge here.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

Pablo
