Do you know anyone – either an individual or a group – that has provided outstanding service to microbiology in Europe? Have they done something that deserves recognition? Then why not nominate them for the FEMS-Lwoff Award? The FEMS-Lwoff Award for Achievements in Microbiology recognises an outstanding scientist’s significant contribution to the (European) microbiology research community that has contributed to solving today’s societal problems using microbiology. The prize consists of, among others, an honorarium and a prize-lecture at the opening ceremony of the FEMS Congress. The FEMS-Lwoff Award regulations describe the selection procedure in more detail.
