Assistant Professor - food microbiology: Poland

Lodz University of Technology is looking to fill the position of a Assistant Professor at the Institute of Fermentation Technology and Microbiology

The knowledge of issues related to microorganisms, their environments and their importance in food production. Extensive analytical experience in the areas of: food microbiology, molecular biology, and physico-chemical analysis. Teaching experience in working with students using modern didactic methods.

The applicant for the above position should fill the following criteria:

  • PhD of technical sciences in biotechnology
  • special interest in food microbiology and genetics
  • at least 4-years practice in teaching students
  • ability to organize and plan research independently as well as raise funds
  • good knowledge of analytical techniques, especially in the fields of food microbiology, molecular biology, and in the field of physical and chemical analysis
  • diligence, ability to work in a team, creativity, social and popularizing activity
  • good knowledge of Polish and English (conducting classes and lectures in both languages)
  • ability to write scientific publications
  • scientific and industrial internships
