The Laboratory for Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden (MIMS) seeks excellent young researchers who are interested in becoming new Group Leader for innovative research in Molecular Infection Medicine.
MIMS intends to finance one new Group Leader appointment in the coming year, and funding is primarily for a five-year period, with the possibility of extension up to a total of nine years after external evaluation in the fourth year. Applicants should have documented successful research in areas relevant to molecular infection medicine. The recruited researchers will receive extensive support in order to establish their own research group with participants at postdoctoral and doctoral level.
MIMS Group Leaders are expected to conduct a successful research program in synergy with the multidisciplinary research environment that includes MIMS and also to participate in collaborations and joint activities promoting research and exchanges within The Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine .
We are looking for a talented early-career scientist who has already produced excellent supervised work, is ready to work independently and shows potential to be a research leader. We are preferably looking for candidates who have reached a career level equivalent to that applicable for applicants to ERC Starting Grant. Therefore, those primarily considered should have obtained a doctoral degree, or corresponding qualifications, no later than two and no more than seven years before the application.
