Host Laboratory for FEMS Ukraine Support Grant: Portugal
The Laboratory of Microbiology and Immunology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal, is available to support the application of an Early Career Microbiologist for a FEMS Ukraine Support Grant. The laboratory’s main research areas include non-traditional antimicrobial therapies, One Health, clinical veterinary bacteriology, bacterial biofilms, antimicrobial resistance, mycology, food safety and bacteriology of wild animals.
More information about the FEMS Ukraine Support Grant here. This grant aims to assist Early Career Microbiologists who are members of the Ukrainian Society of Microbiologists and those of other FEMS Member Societies who are in Ukraine and caught up in the war. The grant contributes up to €6,000 for travel, accommodation, and some living costs to enable the grantee to undergo research and training at a European host institution (academic or industrial). The grant is for a maximum of 6 months.
