We are looking for a PhD student to conduct experimental research on patterns of the soil prokaryotic diversity. A special emphasis is on analyzing soil aggregates. As a major tool, soil nucleic acid (DNA, RNA) will be analyzed, utilizing (RT)qPCR systems and PCR amplicon sequencing.

The work is conducted in the Molecular Microbial Ecology group of Prof. Christoph C. Tebbe at the Thünen Institute in Braunschweig, Germany. A PhD program at the Technical University of Braunschweig can be entered.
