KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm offers a Research Assistant position in cyanobacteria cultivation.

Job description

The applicant will construct small, plastic bioreactors where cyanobacteria can be cultivated. The applicant will set up LED light panels that can be programmed with various light regimes. Applicant will measure CO2 uptake in the reactors. Applicant will be expected to compile results in a technical manuscript.

Qualifications

• Applicant will have a B.Sc. in Biotechnology or equivalent.
• Applicant must have experience with cultivation of cyanobacteria. Experience with cultivation of bacteria biofilms is a strong merit.
• Experience in programming using Python or similar is a merit.
• Experience in fabrication of small reactors, through e.g 3D printing, is a merit.
